I’m Tim van Zanten, a cultural producer and researcher working at the intersection of music, digital culture, and public space. My work moves between organizing events, developing concepts, and exploring how technology shapes the way we experience culture.
With a background in New Media & Digital Culture, I’m particularly interested in how platforms, data, and algorithms influence taste, mood, and behavior. This translates into projects that are both analytical and hands-on, from building tools and dashboards to curating experiences and collaborations. I've worked on everything from album releases to creative coding experiments, always searching for new ways to express ideas visually and sonically.
Alongside my own practices, I work on projects that bring people together, whether that’s through live events, educational programs, or new formats that connect culture, technology, and everyday life. For example, I’ve worked at Into The Great Wide Open [(ITGWO)](https://www.intothegreatwideopen.nl/) , Nederlands Film Festival [(NFF)](https://www.nederlandsfilmfestival.nl/), [Kaboom Animation Festival](https://www.kaboomfestival.nl/nl/) , [InScience Film Festival](https://www.insciencefestival.nl/) and [Brainwash Festival](https://www.brainwashfestival.nl/), among others.
If you'd like to chat about a project, explore collaboration opportunities, or just discuss creative ideas, feel free to reach out via email.
